5 Gallon Fountain

CANNOT USE ANY FRUIT JUICE WITH PULP.  MUST BE PULP FREE FRUIT JUICE OR IT WILL CLOG THE FOUNTAIN PIPES AND BURN OUT THE MOTOR.

To fill and continuously run a 5-gallon champagne fountain, you will need approximately 20 to 25 standard (750 ml) bottles of champagne or sparkling wine.
Keep in mind that while the basin is technically 5 gallons, the fountain requires specific management for it to flow properly:
  • Operating Minimum: Most 5-gallon fountains require a minimum of 2.5 to 3 gallons (10 to 12 quarts) just for the pump to work.
  • Total Capacity: 5 gallons equates to roughly 640 ounces, or about 25 bottles of 750 ml each.
  • Important Note: Sparkling wine and champagne lose their carbonation quickly in an aerating fountain, which can cause it to foam over and eventually go flat. Many caterers recommend using a cheaper, sweet Prosecco or a Cava instead, and remind guests not to put fruit pulp or seeds in the fountain, as these will clog the motor.
